How to celebrate Year 2000?
The basic question concerning the celebration of the Millennium is the following:
Is the person with whom our reckoning of time begins, really the unique Son of God and himself God?
If the answer to this question is yes, it means that God, the Creator of the Universe, by his Son, entered into our very circumstances about 2000 years ago (2000 is merely 40 times 50, which means that the event is historically near). Further, every person that believes this in earnest, cannot reasonably do otherwise than allow this absolutely unique fact to exert profound influence on – not only the Millennium celebration – but on everything he or she thinks and does.
